When you are the only game in town, you don't have to try as hard as Vegas where 50 casinos are fighting for your vacation dollars. It is basically the law of supply and demand. If you stay with MGM in Vegas, you should be able to earn comps on your existing account. They do have a nightclub, some bars and a spa - but I have never used them. They are open 24/7, but no booze from 2 am to 7 am. Smoking is allowed (there is a small no-smoking slot area). You might get a B-rate show, but they don't have daily shows or mega concerts like Vegas (those end up at Comerica/ Ford Field/Joe Louis/Palace). ( Greektown casino has the only full pay VP that I know of in the area). You will see the same Wheel of Fortune slots you see at any other casino - and they are very likely tight - video poker odds are bad. Table minimums are $10+, higher at busy times - so not great for a low roller like me. A bottle of beer will run you $5 with tip. ![]() ![]() Drinks are not free - and are actually quite expensive. It is off on its own, so you can't step out the door into other entertainment options. It is typical of any stand alone casino in the US - and I have covered every casino in MI with casino runs to Vegas (12+ trips), WA, OR, CO, SD, IL, IN, LA. It is not a bad casino, but does not have everything that the rest of Vegas has to offer.
